1. What is Mild Hyperbaric Therapy? Mild Hyperbaric Therapy uses filtered, pressurized, ambient air to "push" dissolved oxygen into the organs, tissues, and cells of the body, which provides the body with the vital components needed for self healing. 2. How Does mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Work? A pressurized environment allows an increased amount of gas (oxygen) to be absorbed into a liquid. In the body, this increase in oxygen is noted in the red blood cells, plasma, lymph, bone, and urine, and perhaps most importantly, the cerebral spinal fluid. This is known as Henry’s Law of Physics. According to Dr. Edward Teller, father of the hydogen bomb, oxygen, when under hyperbaric conditions, is delivered directly to the cell for immediate metabolic use, without energy exchange, even with compromised circulation. 3. Are there any side effects I should be aware of? No dangerous side effects have been reported with Mild Hyperbaric Therapy. Hyperbaric therapy is usually a relaxing and comfortable experience where users can either read or sleep inside the chamber. One should be physically able to "pop" or clear their ears comparable to that of ascending or descending in an airplane. Following a session, some people may feel more tired temporarily as the body works to flush out the newly mobilized toxins, but increasing water intake, doing a sauna, exercising, etc. are several ways in which to speed up the removal of this debris. 4. How long does the session last, and how many sessions will I need? Most sessions usually last about 60-90 minutes. The number and frequency will vary per person as well as the client's condition and severity of that condition. 5. How may I pass the time in the chamber if I cannot sleep? You may listen to headphones, watch a dvd, play video games, read books or magazines, etc. It is preferred that you do not use "wireless" technology while in such close proximity due to the negative effects electromagnetic frequencies have been shown to exhibit on the cell membrane, nervous system, and brain function. 6. Are there any reasons why someone should not do mild Hyperbaric Therapy? Yes. If you have a current ear infection or are experiencing symptoms of flu or head congestion, you should avoid getting in the chamber.
